Following her tragic death at the Boston Marathon on April 15, Krystle’s father spoke out and said she was ‘daddy’s little girl,’ and a ‘very caring’ person. So sad.
Krystle Campbell, 29, was named as the second person who was killed in the Boston Marathon explosions on April 15, and her father William A. Campbell opened up about her tragic death and said “she was the most lovable girl,” while her mother called her death a “waste.” How tragic.
Krystle Campbell’s Father Speaks About Her Death
“My daughter was the most lovable girl. She helped everybody and I’m just so shocked right now. We’re just devastated,” William told Yahoo. She was ”very caring, very loving person, and was daddy’s little girl.” He says the loss has devastated the family.
Krystle, from Arlington, Massachusetts, had gone with her best friend to take a picture of her friend’s boyfriend crossing the finish line on Monday afternoon.
“This is just a waste,” her mother Peggy Campbell said. ”She loved pets and she loved people.”
This news must be devastating for Krystle’s poor parents, who were initially told that she was alive, and that her friend Karen Rand had died. Karen is currently in critical condition.
Krystle’s gym also expressed their sadness at her death.
“Hordon Health lost a member of its extended family yesterday at the Boston Marathon. Her name was Krystle Campbell, and she died instantly yesterday at the bombings. Krystle could easily have been described as the salt of the earth, but her complexity demands more.”
Krystle was watching the marathon when she was killed by the two explosions that occurred seconds apart, her grandmother Lillian Campbell told The Boston Globe.
Krystle had just moved to the town a short time ago, and she was helping her grandmother through an illness.
Krystle worked at the American Food Systems, and before that she worked as a catering manager in Jaspar White’s Summer Shack. She studied at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and attended both Medford High School and Somerville High School.
How awful. Krystle’s family are in our thoughts.
What do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are you sad for Krystle’s family?
